Compatibility
Amano Shrimp are peaceful and thrive alongside small, non-aggressive community fish such as tetras, rasboras, otocinclus and corydoras.
Due to their larger size (up to 5–6 cm), they are far less vulnerable to predation than Neocaridina shrimp, making them suitable for a wider range of tanks.
They actively graze on algae, detritus, and leftover food — making them essential members of any clean-up crew in planted aquariums.
Amano Shrimp are not suitable for breeding in freshwater, meaning populations remain stable with no risk of overbreeding.
