Blue Ramshorn Snails are a colourful addition to a freshwater aquarium and make an excellent little clean-up crew. Their distinctive spiral shells develop attractive blue to blue-grey tones, adding a subtle splash of colour amongst plants and hardscape.
They spend much of their time grazing around the aquarium, feeding on algae, biofilm, leftover food and decaying plant matter, helping to keep your tank naturally tidy.

Care Blue Ramshorn Snails are adaptable and straightforward to keep in a mature, stable freshwater aquarium. They appreciate water containing sufficient minerals and calcium to maintain healthy shell growth.
They are particularly well suited to shrimp aquariums, where they happily graze alongside Neocaridina and other peaceful inhabitants.
Feeding In an established aquarium they will naturally graze on algae and biofilm, but their diet can also be supplemented with algae wafers, sinking foods and suitable vegetables.
Please note: Ramshorn Snails can reproduce readily when plenty of food is available. Avoid overfeeding if you want to keep their population under control. Individual colour, size and shell markings will naturally vary.
Live arrival: Your snail will be carefully packed for its journey. It is normal for snails to remain withdrawn into their shell for a while after transport before becoming active.
